This Pack:

  • Will encourage teachers and students to explore and debate the complex issue of fire behavior, its management and its impact on biodiversity in Western Australia;
  • Comprises pre and post-excursion tasks and information sheets prepared for the EcoEducation Fire - A force of life excursions at the Perth Hills National Parks Centre, Mundaring;
  • Supports the excursion fieldwork (task sheets for fieldwork are provided to teachers on booking an excursion);
  • Can contribute to Science and, Society and Environment Outcomes of the Western Australian Curriculum Framework as well as the Biological Sciences and Geography new courses of study;
  • Contributes to the cluster of core shared values, Environmental Responsibility.
