Introduction:
The Regional Parks of the Darling Range provide visitors with spectacular views of our city and coastal plain, dramatic slopes, gorges, park coursing with seasonal waterways, sport for thrill seekers, tranquil picnic settings and so much more.
The parks are located in the Kalamunda, Chidlow, Kelmscott-Martin and Wungong areas. Attractions within the parks include Lake Leschenaultia, Lesmurdie Falls, Whistle Pipe Gully, Cohunu Koala Park, Ellis Brook Valley, Wungong Gorge, Upper Canning River Gorge, Wall Rock, and Churchman’s Brook.

DEC manages the parks in collaboration with the City of Gosnells, City of Swan, City of Armadale, Serpentine Jarrahdale Shire, Shire of Mundaring and the Shire of Kalamunda.

Where is it?: The parks are located approximately 20 - 50 km east of Perth City.
Travelling time: To reach the closest point will take about 30 minutes, travelling east from Perth City.
Access: The parks are accessible from the north via Great Eastern Highway and Old Northam Road, from the east via Brookton Highway, Churchman's Brook Road, Kalamunda Road and Lesmurdie Road and from the south via South Western Highway, Albany Highway, Nettleton Road and Admiral Road.
Best season: The parks are best visited in the cooler months, from March to November. It is especially spectacular in spring during wildflower season.
What to see and do: Attractions within the parks include Lake Leschenaultia, Lesmurdie Falls, Palm Terrace Picnic Site, Whistle Pipe Gully, Cohunu Koala Park, Ellis Brook Valley, Wungong Gorge, Upper Canning River Gorge, Wall Rock, Churchman?s Brook and the Upper Wungong Farm. Walking, wildflower spotting, picnicking, cycling and rock climbing are popular activities in the park.
Facilities: Disabled access is provided. BBQ and playground facilities are available.
